Our experiences at the new Wembley Stadium plus match day turnstile operations at West Ham and Leyton Orient F.C. has given us specific expertise in this area.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Beatles playing in Abbotsfield Park, Urmston in 1963 and after a three way competitive tender to provide event security UK Star Security was selected.
A team of 15 staff and given the compact venue and specific instructions from the organisers the weekend was an unqualified success. We only ejected three members of the audience out of a combined attendance of over 5,000 over the course the weekend.
The weather was fine and the music of the highest caliber from a variety of 60’s acts, local bands and of course the legendary Bootleg Beatles who recreated effortlessly all the best known songs by the Fab Four.
We very much wanted to engage with the local community and ensure that we maintained a discreet but firm approach to the event security.
Given the feedback from members of the audience we know we achieved this objective.

I selected UK Star Security to manage event security. This event was a weekend long festival of pop/rock music staged on a public park and which was attended by over 5,000 people. It was a very community based event. The event included the supply of alcohol and the performance of 12 bands within a temporary concert arena that we required to be secured against illicit access 24/7. We also had the potential impact of a secondary and unexpected beer festival taking place at just 200 yards distance.
After considering several security businesses I selected UK Star Security to provide security services to this event.
During event development UK Star engaged professionally with us to establish precise security requirements and expectations. Their input was invaluable.
During event the UK Star team performed professionally throughout with all due regard to our requirement that crowd management sat with volunteer stewards until such time as SIA skills were necessary to intervene in the event of confrontation. Thankfully such incidents were sparse and the UK Star team maintained a professional, courteous and efficient “stand back” role. Just three ejections were necessary and in each instance this was managed discreetly, assertively and efficiently.
As event organiser I felt confident that our infrastructure and assets on site were in very capable hands 24/7.
Professional, personable, efficient, diplomatic and compliant with my requirements as to roles and duties. I would have no hesitation in using UK Star again or in recommending them to any future clients.
This was the first time we had carried out event security on this scale and our team performed admirably. We would welcome the opportunity of being considered for other local events in the Manchester area.
